Did you know?

The first comic in history was The Yellow Kid, by Richard F. Outcault, published in 1895. He introduced the balloon or "sandwich" as a novel way of making characters speak. Such was his success that, by appearing simultaneously in the New York World


- The longest novel in history is titled In the Realms of the Unreal and was written and illustrated by outsider Henry Darger. It took seven years to complete its 15,145 pages, spread over 15 huge volumes of dense text.

Did you know?

The Bible throughout history has been censored and banned in different countries. In North Korea it is still banned.


-Although the day of the book is celebrated on April 23 in memory of the death of Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare, the truth is that this was not the exact date on which these two great writers died. Cervantes died on April 22, but in the 16th century, the date of a person's death was the day of their burial. For his part, Shakespeare did die on April 23, but in the Julian calendar, therefore in our Gregorian calendar the exact date would be May 3.
